Volunteering is a place of learning experience. Young people need international exposure to the complicity of the modern societies. Through volunteering they receive education and experience and they become qualified to do a work. They learn to accept different values and become responsible, active and return home as effective witness. Friendship through these activities if shared is an experience between international and National Volunteers. It also helps young people to expose their ability to other culture.
To be a volunteer with MHH means to integrate in the life and work of hosting organizations and wider community, Volunteers are encouraged and supported to get involved in planning and managing of distinct activities, take part in staff meetings, and to take part on responsibilities according to their skills and interests, as well as to the needs of the project. An important aspect of voluntary service experience is the volunteer’s active participation in the life of the community / church in which he /she lives or works.
Through Volunteering, young people aged 18 to 35 with or with out qualifications after secondary schools or during university studies, have the opportunity to live in another country with a family or in a residential project, and work as a volunteer in a wide variety of voluntary work organizations

The MHH exchange programmes will not be possible without families and voluntary service projects, which every year will continue to welcome in their homes and work places young foreign volunteers
In today’s globalized world, in which the knowledge of other cultures, customs and social situations is being indispensable, the MHH programmes endeavors to bring about open encounters between persons with different values and beliefs. Everybody subscribing to this philosophy is welcome to participate in our programs. Any family, regardless of its status and composition can become a host family. It only needs to be open and eager to learn about another culture, willing to provide a home environment, a bed, a space to live and study, and share your meals with “new member” of the family.
Organizations which believe in the importance of promoting international understanding and solidarity between peoples and nations, and are willing to offer young volunteers a place to live, work and learn together
